Blogs will generally be accessed via a choice on the menu. A typical Blog opening screen is shown below:
Click the Blogs Policy button in the top right corner to view this club’s or association’s policies regarding blog posts and comments.
Click the Read Blog link/icon to read the most recent entry for a blog. You will see a screen similar to the following:
The most recent blog entry is shown with its title, author and the date-time it was posted. The author’s photo is on the right; clicking the photo will take you to the author’s Bio screen.
On the left side is a column showing recent posts and an archive of older posts, organized by month and year. Click any entry to view that post, or a month year to expand that group.
You can also click the “menu” in the top right corner to shrink the Blog Archive panel down to a minimum width, or click it again to expand it back out to normal size.
Click the Subscribe option to subscribe to this blog using your email address. The system will pick up a member’s email address automatically; for non-members, a small dialog is displayed to enter the email address you want to use. The system will send you an email whenever a new blog entry is posted. Each email includes a link to jump to this screen, as well as a link to unsubscribe.
Leave Comments on a Blog Post
If comments have been enabled for a blog, click the Show Comments button to view comments and post a new comment. You will see a screen similar to the following:
Enter your handle and comment text, then click Save to post your comment or Cancel to cancel without posting.
Search for a Blog Post
In a specific blog, click the Search Blogs option at the top of the screen and you’ll see a screen similar to the following:
Specify your search criteria. You can search for text in any or all blogs within the blog title, description or author. You can also enter one or more tags that will be used to further limit the search.
Click the Search button to initiate the search.
When the results are displayed, click the View icon or the title of the blog post to jump to that blog post.
