Navigate to the Control Panel > Services Tab > Setup section > Service Options. Scroll down to Volunteer Self-Signup.
- If Enable Advanced Options is set to Yes, volunteers can flag their service requests as Complete in the VSS module, and can enter their own comments, duration, mileage, and expenses. If th is setting is No, service requests must be flagged as complete in the office.
- If the Enable Open Requests Email Button is set to Yes, administrators and member service coordinators will see a button on the main VSS screen allowing them to email a list of unfulfilled service requests to all volunteers. If you enable this button, be sure to clearly define who can click it so that volunteers do not receive too many of these emails.
- Volunteers can change the service date/time - Add an option to allow volunteers to change the date/time of a service request that they have agreed to perform for a member. Approval from Village admins is not required. The volunteer should be able to send a corrected confirmation email to the member and themselves. You also have the option to allow volunteers to call members.
- Staff to Notify - designate a coordinator who will receive an email whenever someone signs up for a service request.
Once you've configured the settings, you'll need to select the individual Service types that can be shown, and when you create a Service Request with those types, you'll opt to include the individual request. See Adding Services.
