Members' boats are tied to the Collectibles module. Learn more about the Collectibles Module here.

Opting Into the Cruising Module
Members that wish for their Boats to appear on the Cruising Module map will need to opt into that functionality. They can do so from the Member Profile page > Cruising and change the setting to Yes.
Once opted in, members can define how they would like the Cruising Module to track them and how it should notify them about other boat locations:
- Track me via AIS: Yes/No
- If they select No, their boat position (Latitude/Longitude) can only be entered manually
- Alerted when other vessels are nearby:
- No - No notifications are sent about nearby boats
- Once Per day -The member will receive a daily report about boats nearby to the location of their boat
- Alert Time will determine when the report is sent to the member
- Continually - Anytime another boat tracked by the Cruising Module is within range, the member will receive an email notification with the details
- Alert new vessels Only - Set the option to Yes, to only be notified about vessels that newly entered your area. With this option set to No all boats within the radius will continue to notify the member.
- Delivery Type - Email or SMS notifications
- Proximity Radius - the radius that will trigger the nearby vessel notification
- Maximum Position age -
- Alert Email: The email address that nearby vessel notifications will be sent to. If blank, the member's basic information email will be notified
Searching for Boats
Members can search an embedded map for the live and historical locations of all boats connected to the Cruising Module
If a member has a boat tracked by the Cruising Module, the map will default to centering on the location of their boat.
The search can be narrowed by applying search filters:
- Time Filter: Limits the map to only show positions recorded within a set number of days
- Center on:
- Boat: Centers the map on the current location of a specifically selected boat
- Recent report: Centers the map on the position of a boat at a specific past date/time
Manually Entering Boat Location
From the Cruising Module, Members can manually update their boat's position or share the position of a connected boat.
-
Update My position: A member can select a boat and enter a Latitude and Longitude. That position will be recorded at that time and appear on the map in that position.
-
Share my position: Clicking the Copy to Clipboard button option for a boat will copy a URL that links directly to the Cruising Module map centered on the location of the associated boa
