System emails are mainly confirmation emails sent to members and non-members based on activity on your website. These include event registration confirmation, renewal notices, and more. You can customize each email to suit the tone and style of your club.
Individual emails cannot be deactivated.
System Emails are templates and shouldn't be edited with a specific item in mind. For example, you don't want to add instructions for a specific Volunteering Opportunity in your general Volunteer Confirmation email. We recommend using Blast Emailing instead to target specific audiences.
Navigate to the Control Panel > Communications Tab > Setup > System Emails.
System emails are each listed with a helpful description of when they're sent to the user.
Customizing the Subject Line and Sender
You can customize the From and Reply names and email addresses system-wide (for every System Email) or you can specify names for individual emails. To customize the names system-wide, click the Configure Email Defaults button. To customize the names for a single email, click the Configure (wrench) icon.
If you configure a custom From, Reply To or subject field, test system emails will not include those entries; the test email will only include the customized body.
ClubExpress will only use a 'From' email address if we host the domain, or if we have an SPF record authorizing us to send emails on behalf of your domain. Email our Support Team for details.
Customizing the Content
Click the Edit (pencil) icon to customize the body of the email using the built-in text editor. You can edit the content and add links and images. See Content Editor
Each System Email includes a number of replaceable ~~tags~~, designated by two leading and trailing tildes. When editing the emails, be careful not to modify any inserted ~~tags~~ directly, and don't remove any ~~tags~~ with important information. See Tags in System Emails
We recommend sending a test email to yourself whenever make changes. To send a test, click the Send Test (email) icon.
Removing Customized Content
Customized emails will have a gear icon in the Customized column. Click the Delete (trashcan) icon to remove any customization for that email and revert to the default.
