Each System Email includes a number of replaceable ~~tags~~, designated by two leading and trailing tildes. When an email is generated by the system, the ~~tags~~ are replaced with their actual values.
Each tag requires behind-the-scenes programming, so you can't add new ones. The tags included in System Emails fall into three categories:
- Club-level tags such as the club's name and website address
- Member-level tags such as the member's name and member type
- Email-specific tags such as the payment amount for a payment confirmation
Navigate to the Control Panel > Communications Tab > Setup > System Emails.
You can see the list of available tags in each email in the <Select Tag> dropdown menu.
When editing the emails, be careful not to modify any inserted ~~tags~~ directly, and don't remove any ~~tags~~ with important information.
Testing System Tags
Click the Send System Tag Test Email button to send a test email to a specified email address with all replaceable tags available for your organization and for each member. The member data will be populated with data from your Member Profile.
