Administrators have the ability to edit existing event registrations.
The Registration changes available are:
- Add additional registrants to the registration
- Remove existing registrants from the registration
- Change the name and/or contact information of registrants
- Add/remove activities/items from one or more registrants (Multi-activity events only)
- Change the response to any event questions
To begin editing a registration, go to the Control Panel > Website Tab > Events and search for your event. From there, click on the pencil icon for your event and select the Registrations button.
The pencil icon will not appear for registrations if all of the following is true:
- There is only 1 registrant type
- There are no event questions
- No guests are allowed
- There are not multiple activities
In that scenario, there are no registration details to be altered. If personal information was entered incorrectly, the registration should be cancelled and resubmitted with the correct information.
Search for the registration you would like to edit and click the pencil icon for that registration. This will begin walking you through a modified version of the registration process where the registration's previous selections are already loaded. The number and types of screens seen in the registration process will vary depending on the event's configuration (i.e. number of additional guests, non-member contact information, activities/items selected, event question responses). As you proceed through the registration process you can select different options from what was originally entered or leave any items that should remain unchanged as they are.
Once you have made any necessary changes to the registration and arrive on the summary page, you can press the Complete Registration button and the updated registration details will be applied.
There is a checkbox at the bottom of the summary page. If this box is checked, the registrants will receive an updated event registration confirmation email.
Editing Registrations with Payments
When a registration that has already been paid is edited, the previous transaction is cancelled and the payment is immediately added to the primary registrant's account as a credit.
If the updated registration requires payment, the credit can be immediately applied to the updated registration.
